yup hulas right , everyone aint crazy like me to read 153 pages in a day.i cant wait to see you in completed thread.

also i think ur traditional stuff is too good so maybe newcomers are feeling we dont know how it was done, its great but we dont know where to start.

ull have to remove that air of doubt, so try posting pieces of a single sketch followed with a 4 line right up.

for eg:" this is my draconian being's head it took me XXX mins to complete with shading , i used this(pic) basic shape and these pencils(pic)" or maybe just name ur tools.

aby arty, I did that quite a few times here, anytime somebody asked me I answered questions about what pencil and paper I use and how much time I work on a pencil piece. But yes, I think the thread has become kind of bloated and some posts in the finished section will be a good move. Just remember, when I started this thread there was no finished cg section

Solen is my latest d&d character portrait commission. Although he is a cleric, he is still a fisherman at heart, enjoying long trips at sea and keeping around a fisherman like spear, maybe in remembrance of his former tool of trade. Background is just a sketch up since that's the level the client commissioned for this one.

thats a nice one

what i meant was stage wise breaking ur art, or you know when you are finished doodling click some photos and share them, when u cleanup click more photos when u finalise and shade then share photos and all necessary additions you can think of.

u dont need great photography just snap away from ur cellphone and post them.

Or I can simply scan them
I did that before aby, it's here in the thread. And if I remember correctly, I did it more than once

ya but scanning is tedious when you need to record progress ,finish a part , snap it and be done with it.

you'll become schizophrenic if you started scanning every other handful of strokes , since the level of detail in your art is extremely high.

Thank you all for being so kind and drop a comment
aby - I know what you are saying but maybe I just can film myself penciling sometime, I have a pretty nice Panasonic Full HD camera It would be easier to do a time lapse afterwards

eydi, I would like that too but unfortunately the client commissioned only a B&W piece, so unless he returns and asks for an upgrade, this is how this one will remain - at least for a good while.

waheed, nice to see you roaming free around here again, my art ninja friend I'm glad my fairy retained the tension and the movement necessary, I am often guilty of stiff characters A thing that will hopefully heal with time.

Let me present you a piece of work I just finished last night with the help of a few movies and some cold coffee. His name is Luke Vander Vegan, he is a bard diplomat and it has been commissioned as a D&D character portrait. The lion medallion ended up a bit skewed but looks good nontheless I hope you all enjoy it.

That does look good!

Like how you gave the girls three different poses that express different elements. Think you can take this further though and give them perhaps a bit more different looks in the future if you have a similar element in your drawings...

Very nice details, only the perspective of the room seems to be a little bit off. The horizontal line of the wall in the back doesn't seem to connect from the right to the left side of the knight for example. It's slightly to high on the right.

aby will do with my next detailed commission.
hulahuga - this one is done but what do you mean by "give them more different looks"?
TDW - the perspective its not the best but you can easily imagine there is a higher edge there, just behind the main character. The water lion head ended up pretty skewed 'tho. Not a tragedy but I could've done better for sure.

Yeah I know but for future works...

Different looks (in this one): well all the girls do look quite similar, perhaps you could have given them different traits that are reflected in their postures or something.
