Avatar your amazing work has finally motavated me to start up my career in the 2d field once more.. after spending 5 hours looking through all 50 pages of this thread and reading what everyone has to say. I must say your attention to detail outshines mine by far. I have a few pictures id like to show you. I will make a different thread for them as i dont want to clutter yours. I too use just a simple mechanical .05mm. I dont have any original drawings something in me makes it so i just cant draw what i have in my head. I have tons of great ideas but i just cant get them down on paper I need to work feverishly on this tell i can improve on this downfall. However the 2 pictures i will show on my thread have orignated from anothers mind i redrew them as best i could and also colored them in photoshop. (I dont have a wacom so its with a mouse). I hope to hear Extremely strong Criticism from you and I hope to better my skills from it. Your work is amazing I will say again.

3dGator, it was sculpted in wood indeed, in a tree trunk to be more precize, wheighting about 2-300 kilo's (maybe more).
The sculpture is tilted because the trunk was tilted and I was forced to follow the fiber. But in the end that helped me because the wolf seems to bend his head, ready to howl. MercatorDesigns, glad I could inspire you. The world needs all his artists. Take it easy trying to express your own ideeas. Start small. The extend the idea. Post here a link to your thread and I promis to indulge you with the harsh criticism ![]()

You've got a pretty sweet body of work here Avatar-3DT! Keep it up. Nice carving too, I've done a little so can imagine the work that must have gone into it!
Cheers. |

Got also a ugly undershirt sun burns Aedilhum. Everybody laughed at me when I got home. But I swear it wasn't the sun! It was the wind!
Nice to be in one piece, Icey ![]() rage, my man! Glad to "read" you again! I couldn't find "barnish" in my dictionary but it was understood that te local authorities will paint the sculptures with crude oils. They did that with the sculptures two years ago and it looked ok.

hells angel, I've been kindda caught in some work lately and, unfortunaly I don't have the customers permission to post those drawings here. At least not yet. But I promis to start working on my personal projects and I'll come out with some new drawings very soon.
Corth, yeap, you are right, varnish is the word but still not good for the statues. Since they are out in the sun and the rain the varnish will not resist for long to those exposures. So oil based coverage is the best way to protect them.

As I promised, here we come with some new drawings. Those are made for a duel I was provoked in. Characters from Dungeon keeper.

Man! that is the funniest goblin I've ever seen! Great cartoony colours too. On the other pic, the gals' lips are a little too full maybe? Its good otherwise.
