Mad surfer
The last one was a Trikreen, a D&D creature. Sorry to post the name here but I was hurried and that's how the mistakes are made.

oh, as for some drawing tips... where did you learn to draw like that? did you take classeS?
and do you plan like a skeleton structure for each guy before you draw it? i would really like to know ![]() |

No, I didn't took any classes - officialy. But I did study by myself different things, like anatomy, mythology and others, too many to speak about them here. I practice a lot and I'm blessed with great imagination.
No I don't plan a skeleton before start working, in fact I don't really plan. Maybe I start with the idea of making, let's say, a dragon. I buil around that character an entire story, asking myself why he's gotta look like that, could he really fly with those wings, how would he see, even how would think. And that's with all my characters. Sometimes I stand infront of a drawing long minutes, just "dreaming" about it. I have to make an efort to snap back to work. |

thanks for the tips hehe, yeah... i should study anatomy and that stuff especially, since sometimes i have a cool idea, but i screw up with the shape of the thing and it looks like crap half the time
once in a while i actually get the shape right (i dont have many pencils lol) and i come out with a picture i actually like a lot of times when im attempting to draw something in a scene i imagine a sort of movie, and i put it in a box so i can get my views right of course, like i said, they usually look like crap, and about the only thing i can draw is a dragon lol something realistic like a person? fogeddaboudit maybe its cuz when i was younger i used to practice drawing creatures, especially raptors (jurassic park!) which im gonna do tomorrow in school so i can attempt to model one i think one of the most important things like you said is practice... and ive been spending too much tiem on stupid shcool work lol thanks again avatar ![]() |

Everytime I check this thread for new drawings I'm impressed every time man. You are by far one of the best concept artist I've seen on the web. Great stuff, post more!

sarN , don't ever think the "crap" you did in school will never come handy, you would be dead wrong. And when you wanna do a dragon, start with what you already know (a raptor!) and build around it. Put him wings, some hornes, some spikes on his back and, voila, you have a dragon.
DanielB, thanks for your kind remarcs, you realy made me blush. I prefere to think I'm not good enough. daagom, indeed I have some time on my hand 'cause I work home and this drawings are, most of them, what I did to earn some money. Pleasure and gain in the same time. But they are also what I did in the last year, so...It's too little. Thank you all for visiting this posts. |

It's been a while... I lacked your input and that was a little dissapointing. But I come here with another of my drawing, hoping to deserve your presence again.

Thanks ido, I'd love to model more my self. If you would see what's on my head you would run like hell. Or maybe just laugh, there are inside there some amusing stuff too
. Did you see the name I gave to my zombies?Eliseu, thanks for the compliments and for the links. Nice stuff there, a joy for the eyes I might say. About the energy... Sometime I get scared I will soon run out of it, but there are burst of it everytime I get amazed of something. But again, there are so little things to get amazed from those days. It looks like the humanity had runout of good ideeas and start to do the bad ones. ![]() |
