3dsmax 2009 skin modifier random verts problem
Hello folks. As you can see from the pic im having a rather strange problem. Even when i move envelopes completely off the mesh, some vertices remain fully affected as you can see by the labeled red ones around the waist of the character.
Have I simply checked some box and not realised or is there something I should be looking at? As a side note, this is happening with a number of different bones' envelopes, for example the head envelope will leave some seemingly random verts 100% affected on the ears. Thanks people. |

Just as an addition, I can't even manually set the weight of the misbehaving vertices to any value other than 1. I've tried every way, using type-in's, painting weights, everything.
The problem seems to be affecting every single joint in the skin. Any clues? |

if all else fails just take the skin off, reset the xforms on the mesh and start skinning again.
