Computer animation study
I'm interested if finding out which is the best post grad course (which college worldwide?) to pursue in Computer animation. Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.
Thanks, Shac |

I'm looking into the same thing.
I've got a BS in biology and have worked as an animator for a few years now (graphic designer prior to that). I want to get into games and am studying in my spare time... but I'm thinking about going to school and wondering what the benefits would be. How much will I get out of it versus what I can teach myself. The main thing would be networking, I suppose. I live in Las Vegas and there is not a lot going on here for computer animators. There is a local branch of the Art Institute but I am skeptical about them. I don't want to go into debt for the next 30 years and I don't really want to go to school for any longer than necessary. I don't want/need beginning courses but I do need a leg up on technical and conceptual aspects of the gaming industry. I guess this isn't much of a reply, just a reiteration of the same question... Look into these schools..
Ringling School of Art and Design! www.rsad.edu Cal Arts www.calarts.edu Savannah College of Art and Design www.scad.edu Vancouver Film School www.vfs.com/ Pratt www.pratt.edu I'm planning to start attending SCAD in Fall '04 to major in Computer Animation. From what I've read and seen on school visits, their program is top notch. Very professional labs, extensive resources available, etc. Hope that helps. ![]() |
