i don't think it realy need to be a gate, a dor, or something with lock

, it should be the place where evil lurks, a place where hell begins

I realy like your concepts, especialy #2, #3 looks like a closeup of #2

so it's nice too.
I wish you good luck, and it would be nice to see your works if it will be a theme like heaven's gates

I like the look of your first conceptions.
Nice contrasts. I prefer the second and fourth one.
Especially the fourth one is somehow like a shrine, everything's moving towards its center, somehow sucked in.

Hi mrpeculiar,

The 2nd concept looks much more epic and I like the overall environment! The 4th concept looks good, but the 2nd concept has more interesting composition!
