aby arty: I see what you meant. Sorry, for the sake of keeping everything balanced, please just have one dragon and one pedestal for your final submission. Dragon attire is a great idea, but you'll have to exercise your skill and sculpt it from within the dragon's base mesh. I'm sure you can do it!
kirgan: I'm loving that hunched evil looking dragon! It's stylized, but thre's a certain quality to it that also makes it work as realistic, too, though with a powerful personality. Can't wait to see it detailed. maxxeh: You can start a new sculpt as many times as you like ( for example, our very own mrpeculiar has two dragons made already ), but you can only submit one entry in the Final Submissions thread. Fellipe Lopes: I must say that was an awesome looking dragon. I thought for sure you were making a black dragon ( the horns! ), but now I see the reference, I see it in a whole new way. And your teacher is very wise for saying that. Reference is king.

![]() After losing a couple of hours work on the last one, It disheartened me thinking about redoing the steps! I'm drawing dragons and looking at references at every chance i get between essays ![]() |

Really reference helps a lot in modeling. And also makes the work faster.

Well, I have been a lurker for too long...I feel like with work being so steady, these types of challenges are the only way to force me to get some of "my own" work finished...So here we go....
![]() Just over 2 hours right now, which is unfortunate, but I started without reference to see where it would go...I will probably take it a bit further and then give it a go from scratch...I know its hard to give comments on such a raw form, but any crits are welcome! babis1.. It looks like you started with a sphere.. did you not use the base mesh?
![]() The first post in this thread has the rules and the base mesh you're meant to be using.. Sorry to break it to you.. ![]() |
