NOCTURN8's wip-Gates Of Hell
Really great wips and concepts from you guys... Here's where I'm at for now... and boy, this topic kicks the hell out of my brains....it's hard to think of a concept. and the bad thing is... i'm having technical problems with my wacom...
The idea is to show the gate of hell in between the two worlds view.... the inside being hellish and the outside something ordinary. also the waterfall gate might have a ruin type thing on it.... i still don't know where to go to from here..... comments and crits are deeply appreciated. thanks!

had to do another concept and here's what i came up with... this is very rough at the moment but the idea is to make a hanging gate of hell... with 7 huge chains acting as a bridge.... BG at the moment is just a temporary backplate for sketching purposes and will be processed later...The perspective will also be exaggerated a little to give more depth and emphasis on the size of the chains...C&C's will be gladly appreciated...thanks!

----UPDATES:---- started working on the chains in 3d to help aid me in the matte... and also started adding a few more details on it.... the climber is just a guide to help with the scale! please tell me what you guys think!

Looking great! The texture of the chains though is rather big for its scale. You might want to scale it down a bit

I agree with what Eyecon said though, the scale of the texture on the chains looks a bit to big. I am excited to see your updates to see how this turns out.

after taking some time checking the texture size and overall status of my image i've noticed that the problem not only lies on the texture itself but on the size of the chains as well, it's not working out the way i wanted and expect it to be... also the perspective at the moment for me is really bad at the moment....
right now i'm finding a more interesting perspective and hopefully post some updates soon!
