Yakuza (CCWS)
Hi,
this is my first post to this great community and I wanted to introduce myself by sharing the latest work of mine with you guys. ![]() I created this bad boy in Thomas Mahler's Character Creation Workshop he held in Games College Vienna (Austria). The Workshop lasted about 2 months (2 units a week) and our main goal was to create a TF2 (Team Fortress) stylized character by using Thomas' gorgeous pipeline. I hope you guys like it. Feedback and crits are more than welcome! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() cu, Atilla Last edited by hakeem; 09-06-2009 at 11:46 PM.. |

Very cool, where can we download it? Great character, great sculpt, and great textures, my only crit would be the feet seem abit flat.

Sweet!!!
Thomas is a badass, he would be a great guy to learn from. Your project is freeking cool, I particularly like the flattened and extreme anatomy. Great job. |

If I haven't done a plug this week I would surely plug this one too. Love the style of it and the render. Congratz ![]() DD

does this mean mean my chance for getting on the frontpage is gone? ![]() Since I'm pretty new to this forum, I'm not quite sure how you guys handle this. Glad you like it though! Atilla |

Hi,
-sorry for the double post- first of all here's a quick gallery update. ![]() And for those who are interested, I made a quick step-by-step tutorial on how I gave that character this angular look. -Step 1- I first sculpted some muscles with Clay Tubes. -Step 2- Then I defined the 'hard edges' with the Standard Brush -Step 3- I used the Flatten Brush to straighten the large areas -Hint- While flatting out an area, change the perspective as you were looking down at it -Step 4- At last I pinched the 'hard edges' and smoothed out some ugly areas ![]() Thanks for all the nice comments so far! cu, Atilla Last edited by hakeem; 17-06-2009 at 08:35 PM.. |

His rear end looks epic (the render of his back not his.. you get the point.)
You did some excellent work here. Only thing is his short lower legs freak me out. But very cool image over all ![]()

Really like it, Just some things are a let down like the feet and head. I know you have approached it in a laid back way, But It just makes him look a bit empty headed.
also, the poses are a bit so so. He's gotta be holding the gun more tightly, it looks as if they are resting in his hand. The Sculpt, Lighting, and Cleanliness of the Bake rock though ![]()
