Nice sketch. Will be interesting to see how you manage with the poly count and all 6 legs but it should be ok

Here is my update on the geometry. I might need to do yet another set of concepts showing wut i would like to do with the hair and textures.
I built this thing in zbrush using the new zpheres 2, but i found it rahter confusing and well...i gave up..lol. I did finish it off just using regular zphere to kinda of get basic mesh going on. I then took it into softimage and modeled on top of that geo. The main reason being was because the mesh generated from the zpshephere was actually kinda messy. And when i was suddiviving it wasnt giving me wut i needed...long story short i decided to start over clean. Now i just gotta uv map this thing and start sculpting i suppose... ![]() ![]() ![]() I am stading at 990 tris. That is including the hair. I will prolly add more planes or use some faces for the face. dunno not yet. ![]() |

thanx for the nice comments guys!
well, i am feeling a bit tired tonigth so all im going to show tonigth is my uvs. I will start working on my textures tomorow. I have a question for anyone who migth know... how the hell do i install the subtool master in zbrush 3.5?? I got in there, it shows up in the menus but when i call it it says something about it... ![]() I download the subtool master off the pixologic site, and the thing is NOT THERE!!( the .dll file is asking for) and wut sux is that i already deleted all the old junk from 3.1. I must say 3.5 behaves kinda weird...3.1 felt more stable in my opinion. Maybe is just that i havent used it enough yet. Well..here are my updates ![]() ![]() Last edited by Raul; 18-09-2009 at 05:28 AM.. |

Mies, yes im saving the top for the hair.
Well, here is some sculpting updates. Might need to change my low poly to follow the silhoutes a bit better but it should be ok.. ![]() ![]() ![]() Also, let me rant about zbrush 3.5....the subtool master is not compatible with it!!! Is there a way to manually duplicate and mirror subtools? |

looking good neto!
Yes u can do it manually.. u must clone the subtool, mirror then apend it. But u will lose the subdivisions on the mirror step. |

Cleto- thanx for the tip, bro!
Thanx guys. Well, i put more detailing on the abdomen. Im wondering if i should put bumps and things on the top pieces of the torax. Any suggestions? Should i just leave it clean? ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Raul; 19-09-2009 at 08:47 PM.. |
