Still playing around w/ some character designs.. but managed too cook up some that I like.. I'll be making a mongolian type warrior similar to the bad guy from mulan...

I had this idea today that I'd make my character more realistic looking rather than another stylized character like what I usually do.. I figured I could use the practice.. =)

did some anatomy study on my mongolian character and here's what I've come up w/.. they usually have a more fatty build but I wanted to make him look more muscular while still being a bit chubby.. I'll add more fat/mass as I go I guess..

I was doing some reseacrch today and found this picture of a mongolian rider hunting wolves with his eagle.. I'm amazed by it and thought I'd share it w/ you guys..

also I've posted a vid link of how the eagles hunt and kill their prey.. it's pretty amazing to watch, but it saddens me that the poor wolves are victimized for sport and for their fur coat.. I'm not a big fan of hunting or watching animals get killed specialy for sport..

also on a good note, I'm doing a series of concept art for my character. I'm posting 2 that I like for now. A mayan based character and a villain mongol character.

the second rather makes me think a Maori warrior (without tattoos on faces), I prefer the first, the Mongolian warrior!
