omegamista - Hero - Name TBD
just watched a history channel show on medieval armor so i had to start with this guy:
still not sure about the world he lives in or the creatures he's fighting. I want to portray him in a slightly negative slayer image. Just because he's a hero doesn't mean he can't be a murderous savage. i'll try and get more done today but we'll see. *edit: just added the weapon, i think i might have a spike on the butt of the end & i think i'll change the spike on the top to be more styled like the blade. also now just looking at it, i'll make the blade a bit bigger.

I like the Helmet design, He kinda reminds me of the Knight on Final Fantasy 9, It would be to see him have a sinister side
. Also if you go that way, a big Joust would look cool as well. ![]() |

Maybe his helmet could have some more dramatic details,
what do you think? Btw, is he a human being? He has style. ![]() |

It would be cool to see some horns on the helmet.

Thanks for the Comments All!
yeah, Brazuka & M_Cederstrom i was thinking about adding a wing/ear looking things on the sides of the helmet to give it a bit more zaz while also adding to the idea of having his armor "bird" decorated like his beaked helmet. I've been pretty busy with school but should be able to make some fat progress this week.

Real medieval knights had no horns guys! But, fantasy like horns, so... By the way artistic and realistic are two words, not one.
I'm also working on classical helmet/armors and medieval stuff for this contest, there is so much type of medieval plates ) english, german, spanish, italian...wowAnd they had sometimes decoration on the top. omegamista, I like the spike and the cape.

ok..... well i sketched out a bunch of poses to use. didn't like
any.and got pissed off enough to start a new hero! ![]() so the idea is a wizard or warlock or whatever in battle with a rock demon. i'm really liking this concept more especially with the colors. i need to work more on the hero, he will eventually be clothed, a bit.

the first knight was cool, though i imagine him like Don Quixote, with a lance and riding a horse in full speed charging a scary monster or something
, the smiley from the second one is cool too ![]() |

thanks for the comments:
noundo- thanks, i do need to focus on composition and poses. I'm gonna sketch out some scenarios, btw ur pic has great atmosphere. aby arty- Thanks for the links. I'll tackle that armor after all. J.B.- yeah one of the problems i had with him was posing with weapons, so i might try out a few different types. no horse & lance though M_Cedertrom- yeah that's what i was leaning towards. i'll do some simple sketches to see how i can work this out.
