I like the rough look a lot, the model is superb!You can just fix the uvw map, there's a lot of unused space.

When uvw-ing, you should try to make the uvw parts fit as tightly as posible. That way you'll use the most of the map you're using. When there are empty gaps, that is wasted space. So yeah, make them bigger
