SMC M#01 - czacen - Legendary Weapon - Totem of Might

Hi everyone. I was debating doing this concept for some time now and finally decided to make the plunge. It is inspired from a great cartoon series of the 80s called 'The Visionaries'. Knights of good and evil armies battle for the peace of their world with the use of magical totems that grant them abilities. One of these totems is the 'Totem of Might'. It summons a great archer whose arrows are fueled by three suns and his attacks can destroy complete armies.

And here's the wip at 100mins. I doubt I will be able to make it in time. Sadly the hands remain and they are not mirrored. In any case I will give it a try and post the final image of whatever turns out at the end of 120mins. I have recorded this build and will upload it once complete.

Hi everyone. Here's the model at 119 mins. I wish I could do more but looks like this is as good as it gets. There are several big flaws around the character, and I had to use segmented fingers to achieve the hands within the 20 mins. I will get to the presentation shots later tonight.

Well I didn't want this to go to waste so I'm presenting it anyways. Here's the Beauty pass. I will work on the clay and wire shots tomorrow. Any and all feedback is most appreciated/welcome

very nice render, it could easily pass as an 80īs movie poster. (reminded me of tron somehow)

good job!

Thanks Thad. You're right, it does feel like a Tron poster from the 80s. Err. . . umm. . . that's exactly the look I was going for. lol ;D

If anyone is interested, I'm linking the construction vids here. The geometry for the armor and hands are extremely rough and basic due to the time constraint and my limited knowledge of organic modeling. Also please forgive the crudeness of the vids.
