SMC M#01 - lordofmidgets - Legendary Weapon - Gram

Hi all,
thinking of doing the sword of Sigurd from the Völsunga saga. Here are some illustrations ive acquired from the web (wikipedia). I'll use these as basic concept work, with a more precise hilt concept coming up tomorrow when im not so tired.

Ok its a little late but as i said here is a concept for the hilt, so now to begin actually modelling this thing.

Oh the weird 'things' on the hilt are meant to be ravens, im not a very good drawer, these may appear on the final thing, depends how good i can make them during texturing

The design itself is looking good- although I would consider investing a bit more time on the textures? Also, most swords from the bronze age era would have some leather strips wrapped around the handle (for grip). Perhaps with the remaining 10 minutes you could create something to that effect?
