Hi guys and gals. This is an awesome topic and thus there are so many ideas. And here is mine. I thought at first to go for the usual cave or lava pit look with a dragon in silhouette somewhere but then I thought about it some more and came up with this. It is the entrance to the subterranean world of the Naga. Indian/Southeast Asian equivalent of a dragon, the Naga were a race of snake/dragon people that were much more advanced than us. Seeing that the original meaning of the word dragon if taken to it's root words in all ancient languages means serpent or snake and the Naga were just that. In this scene our Hero travels for many moons to get to the mythical entrance to the Naga world. He must abandon all his fears for the mission ahead, as is the cliche the Naga have taken his love for their king and he's going to take her back.

Well almost finished the mountains and snow. Next I hope to get the towers done. I may only have one tower though. Please tell me what you think guys. Thanks

Here is the tower where our Hero goes down to the dragon's lair through. There is a small opening at the base that's been mostly coverred with snow here. The Tower was made by humans not Naga/serpent people and was used to go to the Naga world in ancient times. References used were mostly from Thai temples and the such.

But I think it tells the story well enough. Hero travels 1000s of miles to a cold mountain top ancient entrance to a dark world. There the Naga (serpant/dragon) holds his love hostage. He must go in, rescue the girl, kill the dragon and be out of there before his horse freezes.

Thanks Heavenly. I think most people don't get this image. It's about a hero journeying to this land where there is an ancient, secret entrance into the Naga world to rescue his love. The Naga were serpent people and in ancient times Dragons and Snakes were the same thing. Only later did the dragon turn into what most people think of them today. So I think this image suits the theme
