Have been following the previous sculpt challenge and found it really interesting. Since I've learned how to use Zbrush last month I will probably participate in that challenge this month! I probably won't win anything but it would surely help me get better at sculpting.
But before I must buy it since my trial is finished ![]() |

In!
Alright. I've caught this one from the get go, to hell with the holidays...and my wedding right after. I'm going to sculpt!
Hmm...waiting for pixologic to deactivate old licences so I can install on the new work machine and have me some "happy fun time". I think I'm going to do Walt Disney :P

for this comp can i use an already pre built mesh.. as i just got this speed sculpt book that you've just bought out.. totally thumbs up on that one.. but i kinda wanna take part in this comp as well as run through this tutorial thing.. so i was wondering if i could use the base mesh that come with the tutorial..

I understand Neil, but you need to build your own basemesh for this. Look at it another way: you can follow the tutorial, and then with your new knowledge, remake that base mesh for this comp. It's a win-win situation

Hey Neil_F01, I followed the link to your youtube account (in your signature, and I saw in the videos of your sculpt you started that model about 5 days ago, and that it is named ''alien monster''.
I think that in the rules they say that we must start from scratch for this challenge and not take an already existing work, I'm not sure. |

i'm in. i'll do a stylised version of demonic overseer. heres a first concept. still not sure about the lower part of the body. think i'll go with something from games .
neil - about the base mesh my sugestion would be R.T.F.M (Read The F****** Manual ). and about your sculpt - there is a plase in this forum for wip's as i remember (http://forums.3dtotal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 ). correct me if i'm wrong. sorry if i sounded harsh or ofensive. To be fair, paulius-st, it says in the rules at the top not to create your own thread for WIP and to just post them here in this one.
But I agree with your statement about the base mesh |
