your right all 100%, but this sculpt he did is not for the contest as i understand . this sculpt is from previous contest and there he wrote that its not to compete in this contest. either he is lost , either he is going through numerous sculpting chalanges with one sculpt. both ways it's not a place for a personal non competition project. me thinks so

True, while this thread will be used for everyone's WIPs for this challenge ( with base meshes made specifically for this challenge ), people should post any other works in an appropriate WIP thread in the WIP section of the forum.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you're all gonna come up with. ![]()

yeah.. hi just to dispell any confusion.. its not really an entry into the comp.. but i did think that the model suited nicely into this comp.. i have only really be learning zbrush from a short time.. and since most people in these comps are as i would put it **** hot at sculpting. i was looking to see if my work was going in the right direction.. i will however start on my next model.. which yeah i will be making the base mesh.. (i only asked about using a previously made one that came with the ebook).. but not to worry i have no real problems putting the base mesh together..
am pleased that people had a look at my youtube thing.. feel free to be cutting and harsh.. sometimes hearing the worst is always the best thing as it inpires you to do better.. not gonna take it too personally.. and if your the kinda person who is an arse.. i will give as good as i gets.. lol.. but at least so far there have been no bad comments about the sculpt itself..

well i've created my base mesh.. sorta messed up with the screen filming thing.. the orignal file only lasted something like 20 secs.. so had to use premiere to scale it up to 3mins..
i am guessing that i started work on it about 12 ish.. and it is now 2:28 in the morning.. so i would say 8 hrs of scultping left for me.. i will try and export all remaining movies by each sub-division.. have also started the upload for sub-divison 1.. took 42 mins.. so far have taken 3hrs 12mins

Would it be acceptable to sculpt a creature, and then pose it using a rig? Or would we pose the base mesh and scupt over the top?
Thanks, -Ibbo |

Ibbo: I would assume that first rigging the character would be the fastest option. Exporting and taking ure char into another app then rigging and skining, would take too long.
update : Finished the the zspheres and zsketching and stuff. gunna start sculpting now.think i got around 5 hours left. fail.
