Both :P
The timelapses (I think) are a great addition to the pieces as a whole (I record nearly everything anyway though). They are a great learning tool for others as well as the artist themselves so they can see where they are making mistakes and wasting too much time, etc. Also if you guys have the server space and bandwidth it can make for a great presentation of the comps to come. Not only do people coming to the site get to see the top 3-5 or so finished pieces but they can also see the "making of" as it were. Granted, I'm not sure as to what specs you're looking at for vids...res, file size, compression rates, etc. So I might be way off on this one. As to the time limit...eh, take it or leave it I suppose. 4-10hrs is good regardless I suppose. I think having the higher time frames helps when base mesh creation is a part of that time. When a base mesh is provided then that time frame can be quite lower. my 2cents anyway. ----- On another note. I just saw Cedric's post on ZBC talking about his book he's making for you guys. Sweet...he's my hero Would you happen to know if he's showing just the sculpting or is he doing his whole workflow for lowpoly as well?

@Freekybevis - Very cool work man. You seemed to adjust your model differently than from your concept...but its looking good. I will be keeping my eye on this.

Some nice entries so far- Freekybevis yours is shaping up nicely, I like the origional concept.
Enes001 yours is looking nice too, cant wait to see a bit more of your beasty. Neil_F01 I like the initial concept that you had in your earlier images, but I'm not too sure whether the body works as well as your characters head. His bottom half looks very much like some kind of zombie (with the torn cloathing and only one boot), but ultimately very 'human' as opposed to deamonic. Looking forward to seeing how you spend your remaining time on this guy. Below is my base mesh for the competition. I've gone for a very classical take on the whole deamon, drawing as much inspiration as I can from modern infulences. I hope to start sculpting this soon! All crits and feedback are appreciated. ![]() -Ibbo |

Hi and thanks for the comment goast666. Its funny... just as I uploaded the picture i was thinking to inverse the knee joint
. May have to amend the mesh slightly to see what it will look like!Neil_F01 - the added detail definiately helps, and its a solid first attempt! For the future I can only suggest that you play around with sculpting more and perhaps take a look at some artists anatomy books! -Ibbo |
