yes, you should go with this, it's perfect for a poster of a 2012 film.
Very nice angle.

I think that the change of color from brown to blue is too much strong.

Nice work

I really like the composition. What if you added some more diagonals to the crevasses? The transition in color balance at the bottom seems a little too quick to me though. Also the lighting of the bottom portion(coming from the left) doesn't seem to match the overall lighting. I don't know how much of an issue that's going to be. Just some things to watch out for.

the cracks are looking pretty neat, I think if you could pull this off this would look amazing! Keep on going, the perspective is working great too.

BTW, I agree with BBB, the change is color I think is pushed a bit too much

The cracks could be filled with rising tides of magma, huge spurts of it and smoke.
Would be grim

But that's already been done. Didn't you see the movie?

Personally, I don't think you should do this. I think you should come up with something more original. You have the talent!

Oh my goodness, I totally agree this could be a poster for the movie! The cracks will be eyecandy when finished...since some cracks 'erased' parts of some buildings, you could throw debris falling from these buildings...it should be very striking, like if this was captured at the very moment!
And I think some desaturated atmosphere would match nicely with the picture!

Hope I said something not bad =D

Great work!!

the only thing other than water that could fill those huge cracks would be roots. So, if you do roots, maybe a huge tree in the distance background, that touches the sky and have these massize roots raping the city.

or just fill the cracks with people. Better yet, fill it with crack.

What I don't understand M is your take on depth...why you chose to desaturate/add a monochromatic blue with distance, while keeping a very saturated, orange foreground. It doesn't progress like this in reality...there is a blue haze indeed, but original colors can still be seen.

So I would cut that monochromatism or make foreground more like it.

Hmmm, that's my favorite part of it. It seems stylized...not wrong.
