Update

After a bit of mudboxing then in maya for rigging (just to test the deformation).

Again C&C are really welcome.

Like the model so far, something I would work on since he has such a broad top is breaking up the shoulder & chest, define more the muscles even if he's not ripped you'll still see the division between them this is gonna improve the model greatly. Looking forward to seeing more, great work so far.

not bad not bad...
there is something that looks odd in the proportion of the chest in relation with the rest of the body...

...i guess you can either buff up arms and legs and make the head a little bigger or change something in the shaper of the ribcage and the pelvis...

but this is just my opinion...

keep going!

xxxcubanxxx you're right, don' know if the UV is not so good shelled or it's a problem in exporting the normal map,i'll surely work on that

Mr.fE i'll surely work on proportion as i don't like them too,and the muscle are very coarse as i never studied anatomy, and that's not good,so i'm gathering reference to redo them from the start, what i like most and don't want to loose is the face, hope to be able to reproject those detail in mudbox before redoing the musculature

again, thank you for the comment,it's really encouraging

wow now the chest looks good!

...still the pelvis is a little bit too small...

the best anatomic reference I have is a book called "Dynamic Anatomy for the Artist" by B. Hogart

since you are from Milano you can find it easily @ feltrinelli in piazza piemonte/corso vercelli (for the other reading these are italian streets...we are both from the same city)

for other cool reference for anatomy and proportion I suggest the art of Steven E. Gordon who is a character designer who created the animated series "X-Men Evolution"

Looking good, maybe the bottom of his legs are maybe a bit thin perhaps.

the feet are looking squashed too, so now that you are fixing the ankles you might wanna give them another look.
