Noundo — The Lonley Soldier
Hello, Guys!
Here's my start. I want to make dynamic composition with pretty tough guy, who riding through kinda industrial desert with his only friend — assault rifle. I am not really happy with what I've done so i'll appreciate any comments. Thnx Also it seem to me, this challenge will be really hot, there's a lot of great artists are in. |

wow man, rocking as usual!! I loved your attention to detail and all the amazing textures you put in your drawings!! Reminds me a Half-Life 2 scenery xD But something is kinda weird there, in my opinion...i think that if you make this same scene in a lower perspective angle, and in a wider scope (catching more of the environment all around), this could improve a lot...
I hope I didn't say nothing harmful, this is just my opinion... Really glad to see you in man! =D

Hey guys! Thanks for all your words. Resenhista, I see your opinion about angle, but it would be pretty different picture then. I just selected such kind of angle to show more of this guy and his car. Anyway, thanx for notices.
and so i finished with this guy.. i added more cinematic fxs. i am still not happy with guy himself, i really need to improve my human painting skills. BTW, guys, is there any announcements about previous challenge? Maybe I look wrong places, but i see no info about winners.. I thought there was a date 15 of December to finalize it. And also I wish everybody great holidays and lots of fun and strong creativity in new year ![]() Last edited by noundo; 26-12-2009 at 06:51 AM.. |

Can't see the result from old challenge too, it was on main page of threedy for a time but I can't find it now...
There were some interesting comments from the final judge. I think your work was on the winner list but I'm not sure about it, you should ask a moderator. About your final: I'm not a big fan of all that blur, but you explained it. I like the jeep's motor and the front part, like the tag. Some red point on the cigaret would have been nice (and some more reflexion onto the top of the glasses, the metal stuff should spark more). Human painting skills are hard to work, but with experience and practice I'm sure you can do better. Good luck with your final entry and have happy endyear festivities! ![]()

are they really were? didnt see((. kinda strange situation..
i am not big fan of blur too, but without it there's no motion of the car, looks bad.. red point not really visible at the daylight as i remember.. maybe only when inhale but his face not looks like he is doin' it) and i did few attempts to make nice reflections at glasses but i didnt like it. human painting is what i study now, really delicate thing. big thanks for critique and wishes, peace!) |
