Vampire
This is the first in a series of three images entitled "Painting the Undead." This one appeared in Dec 2009 issue of 2d Artist with two more to follow.

Amazing! I loved his arms and his expression, now I really want to see what's coming next!
Congratulations!

Really nice anatomy and color work. The pose and expression are great 'tho the image doesn't speak "vampire" or undead to me.

I did opt to portray a vampie in human form (if that makes sense) as opposed to a creature like vision and chose to portray his undead state through his monochromatic and lifeless skin colour. |

His face and hands are looking fantastic. What doesn't fit me to the figure are his overmusculated breast - in opposite his sensitive and thin hands an the other part of body.

I take your point
I was aware that the forearms and hands looked a little thin but thought this slightly odd feature helped lend him a somewhat more jarring and unquiet quality - not quite human but still remaining plausible. It would be interesting to reduce the pecs however and see how it compared. |
