thanks, I am thinking #2 is the one - but waiting for a few comments and working on the base mesh before I make the final decision.

Stealing your polygons!

Number two all the way. Fits best with the whole cart theme I think.
...you weren't kidding, that cart is gonna munch up most of your budget [and well it should being several times the size of the character]. Looks pretty sweet, get crackin', times-a-wasting.

Update of Base 3D
I have a long way to go, but I think it is possible. Currently around 6,400 with much optimizing.

There's no need to model the spokes and the rim as one piece, your wasting oodles of polygons there. Doing it as you have now, you've got 8 triangles where you could have 2.
Looking good otherwise. Goblin has loads of character.

Thanks for the comments - I thought about the spokes last night after I shut down. It was an easy way to create them, but once cleaned up should save over 200. I was also thinking about removing some of spokes.

do what warlock said...with breaking the spokes. Keep the number you have on the main wheel, but the smaller ones can certainly have much less...as well as they don't need to have that many edges to make them appear round either. Anyway, I'll see you when you get in.
