The detailing on this is superb so far, if this is how far you've got with one hour the remaining time will reveal a beast of a machine.
Looking good so far Kind Regards CG.

Wow, really good detail so far. I love seeing the minor details such as bolts and rivets. So far it looks very functional.

Wow you are half way to the deadline already. I plan on spending about an hour tonight working on mine. ALLLLLL day i have been looking at my concepts and mentally modeling. Hopefully I would FLY through my one hour session tonight and get alot done. Even though sometimes something might work out beautifully in your head but in the real world 3d max laughs at you and says NO, then proceeds to corrupt your file. O_o

That's very efficiant way of modeling, but i'm really tired (rode my bike for couple of hrs
), and i couldn't put anything on paper, so i just modeled straigt forom my head. Fortunately max was kind tonight, and didn't crash or corupt the file ![]() |

Incremental saving is your friend, it means that after an hour of modelling and you think you should save your project and it crashes they'll be a backup 001 002 003 004 etc etc all the way up to possibly 5 mins before the crash, it saved my life a few times having things like that. I was once modelling a Mini Cooper (the new one) and the new Fiat 500 and had them both just about finished I was working on the wheels and then some test materials and C4D crashed on me, luckily for me an incremental save was only saved 1 min before the crash otherwise I'd have lost a good 1 hours modelling and the rate I model now I can get alot modelled with shortcuts and the like in an hour.
Always try and save as much as possible ![]()

Incremental saving is the FIRST thing i activate whenever i install a new copy of max. It too has save my arse on numerous occasions.

you can always tell zipel models from the ages of The Time machine - you sure like multiplying structure like details
nice work so far, getting this done from your head alone without a concept is the hardest way to model |

Thanks for the coments guys
![]() The incremental save is really usefull, but in huge sceenes can be really anoying, it interrupts me in the middle of work for few seconds, while it saves; i probably need more memory... ![]() @rocneasta i find it very usefull in the smcs, you get decent details in short time . I hope it looks decent too ![]() @hulahuga thanks man; the only thing i dread is the unwraping... ![]() .i got one more hour i hope i'll manage to put all the details i want... |

Wow this thing looks like the bird cage of Death. Can anyone else see bird ultimate fighting happening here?. I kidd i kiddd. Looks good though man. Alot of nice detail. I enjoy looking at models where people take time to put in the small details that people might never get to see.
