Roberto Gomes - Abominable Snowman

Hey guys!! I'm back to the threedy competitions and now I'll stay until the end! =D Great theme with great possibilities!

So, here's my concept for the snowman: researched a little about gorillas, polar bears and coalas...and here's the basic result!

The basic theme for the painting is "Abominable just in the outside": he'll be playing with his son, or with another animal...I'm thinking about it.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy it!

great start, I like the head that you've found ... maybe find something for the body, a detail, a particular thing for the body...

Alright, I got deeper into my concept, the theme now is:

"Like father, like son" haha
Just watch the drawing and you'll understand...at least I hope so =D

Wow, you've already got the good mood, nice starting job, like your fur work and clouds.
This guy should definitly run with more speed!

About composition, I would test one or two diagonal foreground and each down corners (asymetrical snow piles), maybe just some left one, for more dynamic lines directing to the two guys, just a little suggestion, don't know if it'll help the work.
And maybe the guy could just be a little bit smaller for visibility (80% or 90%), he's crossing a bit too much with your snowman's arm, and it could make your snowman a littl' bit more impressive, but maybe you don't want him to be too impressive but more natural?
If you keep on this way, I can feel it's gonna be one of your good ones.
Keep on this nice working mood man and have fun with the trees!
I will keep an eye on this one. (Hiding behind a tree) (Just in case)

Thanks for all who are saying something, it's great to see people are interested in my work =D

washka: I'll work on the composition, to make it look more like natural landscape, but also to let the viewer's sight walk around the entire picture

It was my decision to make the snowman look 'natural', I researched about gorillas, polar bears and coalas to make it

And...the hand is the thing I must NOT change cause, as you realized, the little one is his son, so the snowman is teaching him how to be abominable =D Thanks a lot fot the feedback!

rather early too ;p

perhaps it could do with some focal blur on the closer trees but that might detract from the detail.. anyway lookin cool.
