Dhal_Naka - Snow Creature - Gildenger

Hi guys!!!

I'll join up in this challenge too. It's going to be my fist challenge so don't be to hars with me please!

My creature is about to define yet, i have no the whole idea on my mind but I have started sketching few shapes today. It's not too much but it's what i had not got to much spare time today.

The idea its to play with cold color palette. All the back is going to be white so he can hide just lieing down on the snow. He is going to have "District 9" hands like. Am thinking also to make her face like a antbear so he can eat by making holes in the ground but am not sure at all if i'll do that at the end...And he is going to have shell parts aslike as flesh parts. I have to work on this yet so...maybe something can change.

So, that all for now. Wish I can end up him!

Edited: BTW i hope my english is good enought for you to undertand it... :S

Good luck to everyone!

Hi again mates!

Wish i could show you something better but...my drawing skills are not developed yet...hehe

I have not the idea for the head yet but I will begin with the mesh, because time will go away faster than I would like, and the idea is my head, i will show it better in the mesh and the texture

C&C are welcome

I like this way of concepting. I mean, first some basic silhouette and after that, adding details with white. I will try that one out in my next entry

I think, that right now it doesn't looks "monstery" enough. Maybe the head will do that

If you are going for human proportions, i suggest you to check this thread out. (http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=67602) Its here at 3dtotal, so you don't have to go far. I think its a good way to start, and get to now human body. Which will help you building up muscles on your soon to be monster character.
I also think, that he is not fat enough to have boobs like that
I heard somewhere that starting with head could be a good idea, because it could define the whole model, and it gives you the feeling of it. No wonder why it is so hard to model a head...

I can't draw either right now, so i can't give you any suggestions about it.

Good luck on the modeling part.
