Konginchains Next gen Character Art showcase
http://forums.3dtotal.com/attachment...1&d=1265354611
This is a mercenary game model and sculpt targeted quality for a AAA nextgen game i hope. He's got two outfits one casual the other the venture outfit. I'm still currently finishing up the venture outfit's textures, I'm also thinking of sporting him a cowboy hat. This guy looks like a kill-for-hire dude out in the himalayas or something. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If anyone can tell me how to upload a thumbnail to this thread in the gallery page let me know, thanks..
By the way, here are some texture flats, view at true-res which is 2k by 2k to see the overall quality of these, i think these flats represent my current ability to texture. I can't post these images in the forum since they are just too big, if anyone knows how to add resize tags to the images you post to automatically resize them w/o having to reupload a new smaller version, pls. let me know ![]() http://konginchains.files.wordpress....exflat_col.jpg http://konginchains.files.wordpress....lat_normal.jpg

This looks pretty awesome! What r you using to render? Also, theere is something bout the head that I can't quite call out. It seems a bit out place with the body.
I don't really play games. But I keep up with them. This seems like something out of uncharted! Good deal! |

Same comment from me. Might be the hairstyle though but whatever it is it does seem to contrast too much with the body right now

i agree with the comments about the face, it's just a placeholder for now, i will improve the personality of this character's head, sport him a cowboy hat or something and cigar. Which is why, i haven't textured the head yet.

Wow- the textured body looks fantastic! I see I'm not the first person who thought of Uncharted when looking at this- great work!

yup, my workflow and texturing style is completely based on the workflow of NaughtyDog studios themselves, workflow i learned while working on Uncharted 2.

Here are some more next-gen characters, all presented in realtime, nothing rendered except for the zbrush sculpts.
This one is a generic guy, casual outfit, t-shirt w/ jeans. Here's the paintball competition outfit of the guy... ![]()

Just finished these next gen characters, it is for a paintball game. I tried to raise the quality as much as i could to reach the quality of EA characters such as those that appear in the NBA and NHL games. Rendered in marmoset and maya.
Here's the paintball competition outfit of the guy... ![]() ![]() ![]() The source sculpts: ![]() wireframe: ![]()
