Gothic Church Model
Hello, I am new to these forums, and I though I would like to share with you one of my projects I am working on. I enjoy doing architecture based models, and though I would like to challenge myself with some gothic church based design.
Please note that this is still a work in progress. The model is about 80% complete and the textures are also still heavy in development. Bump maps ect still need to be made. Please let me know what you think. Crits are welcomed. Last edited by Lars3D; 05-02-2010 at 06:51 AM.. |

I forgot to mention that I work in 3DS Max 2009 with mental ray. The textures are custom made in photoshop.

I have discovered Your Thread today.
It looks very good. I hope You don't mind, I have modified Your Texture. - scaling it to 1024x1024 (The binary Scale is importend for Games.) - converted it as tga - made a bump - made a normal map - for hosting only reconvert it as jpg. ![]() The (red) steps are here: stretched (1024²) . . . . bumped . . . . . . . . . .. Normalmap ![]() (All pictures are direct linked. Please klick the preview to enlarge) Amicably AbsolutBeginner |

Thanks for the texture tips, I will make sure to do the same for my other textures. My concern now is how about I should go for lighting. either mr sun/sky or Spot/sky/omi Or something else. What do most people use with archetecture set-ups?
