Woah! That steampunk hercules is epic! Would seriously love to see your take on Clash Of The Titans, either the original 80's Harry Hamlin one of the modern Sam Worthington

Regarding Herakles: One thing that you might want to tweak is the way his swordarm is posed.

I like the colors in the second one . Quite neat!

HulaHuga: Though sometimes such poses are not the best, but I want to keep this pose, I've got a thing for sword poses that have the sword posed all the way straight from the arm

Chunkymunky: That's a pretty nice idea, but I gotta finish this one first!!T_T

Just a simple angel this time around, but I know you guys love angels

something more recent that I am doing...

I first created mini sketches by using a mix of images and paints. After much pondering, I decided that the 1st layout isn't good enough, the silhouette of the elf is clearly visible, especially when it needs to be the center of attention.

So I reworked the layout and expanded the canvas. After that, I cropped parts of the image and began the detailing and design the characters etc. I'll post again when this image is updated

Looking great so far, lots of movement. Very good change to the elf from the one two handed great sword to the double blades.

I see that you like to do these epic war images (similar to a lot of game art like the ones of Age of Mythology), continue with this .
The ent design looks wicked as well, I like his crooked face..

I'll post something more illustrative this time, wonder what you guys think?

This illustrations are entirely hand drawn, and without the help of any rulers or compass at all. They are first sketched in pencil, then inked with pen.

Going back to traditional has taught me a great deal about craftmanship, especially when there's no undos, every stroke counts. And it feels quite liberating to be free from all technical constraints, plus you can draw in whatever position you want, no need for hours of sitting in front of the computer.

this is how it looks like before I ink....

and voila!

Hoep you guys love it, do leave your thoughts and comments!

I like how you made them, pretty neat style with lots of flare. BUT I actually think that your CG scenes are more epic and foreboding, you also tend to do nicer forms...
Traditional is good though, personally I think drawing by hand is much more relaxing and comfortable than drawing on a board...

Hulahuga: Glad that you like them, but i guess from where you are coming from, its natural to like the cg scenes more, because this forum is more catered to such images. They are both different types of illustrations, whereas in design forums, people will more likely go crazy over those lineworks than any elven hero

Washka: Yes, I would love to update more often but sadly I've been busy these days with work and holiday trip, so i guess the elves will need to go into hiding for sometime...

I know, I enjoy them, but it is still more epic with the battle scenes . And if you look at my sketchbook you might get a furthered tiny glance of what I'm into :P.
