Coming of the Ice - Faemorin

First timer here...thought this would be a nice competition to start with!

Alright, got my concept set, I'm thinking of a 3 foot bi-ped arctic fox like creature. With a tail as long as it's body to both keep warm and 'hide' in the arctic wasteland. The fur on the body will be normal white fur, while the tail will have more of a snow-like sparkle to it. (Still wondering how I'll pull that off)
I'm thinking these little runts scamper all over the tundra, using their tail to cover their tracks just before they curl up and 'vanish'. Makes the probes unable to find them. Possibly could be using probes destroyed by the weather as shelter and pieces as jewelery/toys.

As soon as I can find a scanner I'll post up my drawings.

Concept Art (of Sorts)

Very rough, don't have the talents of many of you guys..lol

Considering making the feet more paw-like with rounder edges and small retractable claws, that'll change the hands too...

I'll draw it out and see if I like the difference or not.

All opinions on the matter welcome!

Next WIP update

Decided to go for the paw-like feet instead of the original design. I find it goes better with the overall feel. The upper part of the body still needs to poly's moved around to fit with the arms & I need to combine the legs with the body mesh as well.

Didn't get as much time this weekend to work on it as I thought. hehe, just have to work harder this week to pull this off!

Comment's and critiques appreciated!
Thanks for the view!

Good start. If you decide sculpt, just need add more polys in the low leg part. Good luck.

Faemorin WIP Update #2

Decided to change the feet and legs to suit the fox more than what I had drawn on my concept. Allowed much better flow between the body and feet. Personally I like it, but as always critiques are completely welcome!

PS, sorry for the late responses to these...

armians Thanks, hope these don't disappoint!

Buzzy Thank you for the welcome!

setschaos I spent what I worried was a absurd amount of time thinking of these creatures and what they would act like in this Ice world. Heheh, thanks to you and Buzzy I'm confident it was a good call.

Snakeeaterjns Haven't yet decided on the sculpt, time being the only factor really. But thanks for the advice, will totally follow through if I can squeeze in the sculpting
