When you consider no one had actually attempted a fully animated feature length film with humanesque character in the lead who moved and flowed realistically, it must have been an exciting but also daunting task to be the pioneers. I suppose the same could be said of Pixar's first hit Luxo Jnr....although Pixar had made a few shorts before it, they were right at the front in leading CG animated films to where they are today and so was Disney. You have to remember that Disney's Snow White & The Seven Dwarfes was made in 1937! And yet it looks as fresh as the Frog and the Princess the only giveaway of changing times is possibly the style of the songs performed in Snow White are dated, but visually everything Disney are doing now are trying to re-capture these early groundbreaking and legendary days in animation. The video trailer looks very interesting in the early 80's Disney was struggling to get audiences wanting to watch their films, then with the introduction of gems such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Lion King, The Little Mermaid & Beauty & The Beast, Disney got back their fans and regained the popularity of the early days in animation. Looking forward to seeing the full thing.
