Gift to the Gods - Sci-fice - andrewhall1234

Firstly, hi to everyone!! This will be my first competition entry.

I have been thinking about this for a while now. This concept is awesome!! The problem is i keep thinking of ideas, but then finding that they have no sci-fi element.

My initial idea was to do a scene from Apocalypto, the film by Mel Gibson. Then i noticed another person is going to use that idea. But i might use the scene as an idea, but have different things in it.

Here's the idea:

The earth is slowly being taken over by robots. The robots where created thinking that they could be controlled. But as technology advanced the robots grew more advanced and started thinking for themselves and harnessed the full potential of their hardware. The robots believe it is their destiny to rule over the humans.

The humans needed to act fast to save the future of human kind. So they started a new civilisation on a nearby planet. They believe that if they create a new race of more controllable robots they can return to earth and reclaim it.

Meanwhile the robots have been destroying the remains of the human world. The robots on earth found the idea of religion intriguing, therefore they believed their was a robot god. The robot's believe that if they sacrifice enough robots to the god that it will bring advanced technology that will allow the robots to wipe out the remaining humans.

This is still only an option as i don't know how similar the idea is to the other person using the 'Apocalypto' idea. I will try to think of more ideas but for now i am going with this.

I hope you like the idea. Any feedback is more than welcome.

Btw I will be producing it in 3D. and hope to texture it.

OK, so here is the idea for the image. I will upload a sketch of the idea later on.

The scene will be a close to mid-shot of a robot holding the heart or 'CPU' of another robot that it is sacrificing. The CPU will still be connected with wires and spewing some oil of some sort. The robots will be at the top of a Mayan style pyramid made with much more modern futuristic materials. The background will show more temples and general rubble from the monument etc. that the robots have destroyed. There will be a semi eclipse in the sky similar to the scene in 'Apocalypto'.
