need help in refrences
hi all.maybe this will be weird request but as we r working on a new project and we dont have a 2d and a storyboard designer yet so im gonna ask this request :
this project that we r working is about a hero called rostam from shahname(an iranian famous book).we r going to make a demo so we r not worry about the correct story. in this demo we have some short scenes : one scene is about the rostam on a big mountain looking for some kind of monster on the ground.in this scene we r going to show the horrendous and the magnitude of the mountain. on the other scene the monster will be looking for the rostam on the jungle by pulling over the brushwoods and herbs, passing some trees and.... finally he will find him and the here we have a small battle.we r not going to show the battle completely.just some knock and hits from different cameras and the battle will be finished in a indeterminate condition. the problem is that our team dont have a common point of view about the scenes(the environments, the animations and movements of rostam and the momster and .... so im gonna to look for idias in the films, animations, game movies, pics and .... if u guys have the name of some of them in ur mind plz tell me to check theme out.for example some pics from some mountains like the mountain the we need can help too much ![]() sry for the long post and ty all for ur helps ![]() |

Have you tried to google pictures yet? Google can be your greatest friend in this. Even tho you sometimes might spend hours searching for the right picture.
For a general idea of animation and motion you have to go to youtube (or any other video-related website). Just do some searches on things you are interested in and you will always find something useful (you wont believe what kind of movies I watched to get a general idea how someone is walking up a stair :P). One other advice I can give you. Even tho you have no one who can design a beautiful looking storyboard, I suggest you do create one. If your drawing skills suck, that doesn't matter much. As long as the idea is clear (where is the camera in the scene? Does it move? If yes, which direction? What does the camera see?). My drawing skills, for instance, suck. But I always draw something. Just to have some kind of reference on paper. It really helps. Good luck with it. |
