Hey ho!

My name is Oskar Kolmodin and in this thread I will show some of the drawings I've done/will do, ranging from more "traditional" to digital paintings. The sole intent of this thread is to become a way for me to develop and further my skills, with your help, so comments are extremely helpful.

Edit: Since I am constantly striving to improve myself the quality will hopefully improve as I go on... so do check out the latest pages



So let's start out with a quick concept that I'll probably try to sculpt in Mudbox later on.
It is completely made in SketchupPro (even though the background was made in PS) and it is the first time for me using the app.

On a vacation last summer I sat down without anything special to do, after a while these two appeared out of the sheets of an A5 sketchbook...

Actually quite satisfied with both of them
The lips of the girl were a killer to get right in that perspective, but finally they came out as I wanted them.

Was inspired by a picture I saw during a presentation in class this morning (the pic was a satire of how the military in turkey sees the government actually). Either way I wanted to draw the officer's cap.
After I was done I also wanted to do a face, thus I formed my own idea.
Decidedly I came up with "The Officer"...

You have done really fantastic job, In this time your like artist born in less ration. I have seen it deeply and think it at all position that how did you draw it you. You are grate artist indeed. Keep it up man you will reach at your destiny soon.

I usually just draw from my mind. Just checked some things like how eyes look in perspective and such, also looked a bit at the head shape of the man.

But I'll try to do some drawings with a bit more ref, thanks for the tip .


Ps: the girl is supposed to look androgenic...

Actually tried to bring out the face without using to many shadows, keeping it as clean as possible .

But I could try finding the sketchbook and see If I can continue on it

I think you've done very good job. I like especially the human's portraits -very interesting faces by theway - they're very well proportional and anatomy done. I think only they need just more shadowing to do them more plastic.

Thought I'd share what I'm up to right now...

The first stage of my take on a quite famous scene, I think you know which.

Made in PS. Fleshing out the lightning with multiply on a sepia coloured background.
