I think this is a great idea

i was thinking, maybe I could get a little doubles going on here. i myself am a 2d artist with little 3d experience besides abstract....but...i was thinking it would be cool to be paired up with a 3d artist against another 2d and 3d artist and see who could come up with the better picture!!

the scene could be anything the two pairs agree on and the 3d would have to be done before the 2d modification could begin.

the reason i got this idea was because i see all these incredible 3d images being released but these artists don't know a whole lot about image manipulation which could truly make their stuff even more awesome....

....its just an idea i know a lot of you are always busy but i figured i could give it a shot- tell me if you're in and if you're 3d or 2d.

Nice idea; I once thought of something similar, teaming a concept artist and a modeller... anyway; good luck finding a partener ´cause myself i´m too busy at this moment...

lol you dont have to be pro for this....its just a fun thing...so dont necessarily count yourself out if you're inexperienced.

at the rate this is going, id be hardpressed to just get 4 people of ANY experience level to do it.

Maybe there should be one drawer who makes the reference images, and see who can come up with the best image, if we don't find more artists. Just an alternate, but very overused. I like your idea better.

ok guys! i got myself a buddy from a 2d forum to join in.

the teams will be:

me(2d)+trade(3d) vs. rhombus(2d)+murf(3d)

so i think we should move this topic to the WIP area and post our progress there as we advance in the steps of our competition...i will make the topic.
