Hi guys! Participated in unified challenge last month, and now, I'm in for this speed modeling challenge, think it will be quite fun experience!

How big part of the final judges score goes to the main idea, and is the wireframe actually important for the score, or the clay render is the only thing that counts and wire is there just to show off how it's done?

Hope you've got the question, it's a bit difficult to explain

I dont know how much is clay and how much wire, but my guess would be 50/50. For me the wire is as important as the clay, as it show how you have done the model and also how elegant your solution was. But thats me

And when it comes to idea... I love ideas people come with in this competition. Only condition is it should fit the brief and I think only points down in this area could come from not following it. But again... I am guessing

Displacement &/Or Normal Maps can be used but the creation of them will need to be including into your final modelling time. Remember beauty shots are only for presentation they will NOT be judged on texturing or rendering only for the modelling

Kind Regards

hey, i was wondering, on final render (not beauty render), can objects have some different colors (not textures), or they must all have just gray material?

Good question nobody has done it before but I don't see why not, just make sure though that if you do decide to use separate colours make them muted or pastel, do you know what I mean? if they are too vibrant and bright they will detract from the detailing. Alternatively you could use various shades of white and grey too.

i have a quick question. i am trying to do this competition using vue but i am not sure of how to do a clay render in vue. is there anyone that can help on this matter, or do i just create a grey texture and place it over all of the objects?
