2BIG3k - Lost Jungle

Hi there

Here is my interpretation of this months topic.
The attached files include rough concept, current WIP, rough "breakdown", where i just hid some Layers, a quick mood test to see where it could go and some of the references

There is still a lot of stuff to do, like integrating the water falls, adding more ruins and rocks, replacing foreground elements ...

What do you think so far?

Cheers,
Marc

just quickly uploaded the mood test again on image shack for better quality http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/3...moodtest01.jpg

I like where you're going with this, there is a certain mystic mood in there. Careful with those waterfalls, they look like simple lines for now

Loving the differences of lighting with the light coming from the left and the front and the light at the center in the rear, the plants looks nice too, this is really progressing beautifully.

Very good work on the foreground.
The waterfall are better defined than before.
I found this image of waterfalls on the web.
http://www.davarian.com/chacha/gocta-waterfall.jpg
See how they are larger on the bottom and fuzy compared to the top.

However, you're going well !

I think the background is really great, but somehow the foreground keeps getting my attention. Its like im not aloud to watch the background. Its just how i feel at this moment. Its a great job you did, but its also good to share other thoughts ...

Wow, thank you all for your feedback.

@tjerkotten: right, because it's the forbidden, forgotten jungle you mustn't look at ...no just kidding, you are right, the forground is indeed getting a little too much attention, so I will try to direct attention more in the background by the elements and lighting changes I will do next week.

Beautifull!! POW is great. Just an idea. What about roofs of some ancient castle in the foreground. Or the wall with some mayan/aztec wariors on it.. keep it up..
