yaRa - The Lost Jungle

Hi, guys!

In my work I'm using idea of water cave. I've found some references, but they look not enough deep )))

I build something like colosseum in this cave. I could not find any good bird view of a round structure. That's why i've made 3D arena from one simple segment. It helped me to make a suitable perspective view.
Then I decorated it in Photoshop whith photo refernces of stone arches material )))

Here is my WIP sheet.

Nice and original idea. I like the greenery.
For the round structure that you built in 3D I'd suggest that you also get some light passes out of your 3d application to get a better lighting and give it a more three-dimensional look. You can overlay such a pass over the texture you created in photoshop.

2BIG3k: Thank you for suggesstion )
I have new update: colosseum will be overgrown by some plants. I think, they changes the sharpness of building shape and its extensionality too.

Rievilo: I don't know about this temple too...
It has suitable perspective view. May be I will change it if I'll find something better ))))

@yaRa
i liked your concept and the camera angle you have chosen for the image..good work...

im not really good with mattes but here is a suggestion...
the cave has to look a bit dark. also, the water should not look ocean blue but a bit dark green in shade. you can make it look little dirty as leaves & small tree branches will fall in water & make it look not so clean. are you planning to add any water creature in the cave? it might add some spooky element...

sorry for my poor english.

You are right, the plants do help.

As for the small temple structure I think you will have a hard time integrating it in your scene, since it was photographed in harsh sunlight. Maybe you find another structure that fits your perspective.

Good luck.

English is good )

I was in India in march! It is simple to speak with Indian people in English, because they try to speak simple and compact )))

I think, I will do something with water, but in my last steps.

nice progression !
maybe you can integrate some details on your walls for making the structure more Aztec/Maya.
example : http://images.google.fr/imgres?imgur...26tbs%3Disch:1

good work !

Really nice how you turned him into gold.

The foreground is still a little bit too distracting, maybe you can tone it down a little.

You changed the toy pretty good. It really looks more gold like. You could think about the position of the statue though. The statue is casting light from the left, while the picture is casting light from the right. Hope you can do something with it.... Keep going..
