Movie Mashup - Totoro / Dark Crystal - gumby666

So after hours of deliberation I've finally decided on my Mashup.
Going to recreate Totoro from the movie My Neighbour Totoro (Tonari no Totoro) in the style of Dark Crystal.
Thinking of transforming Totoro into the Mystic (urRu) character and Satsuki and Mei into the Gelflings.
Maybe if I have time I'll add more characters but I'll see how I go.
Will start of with 2D image and see how time goes for the 3d shibang.
Here's some reference if you're not familiar with either (shame on you!).

Some more work on this.
This is mainly for colours and I'll start cleaning it all up shortly as it's very rough and sucky at the moment.
Will add some more defined line work too.
Not done a lot of drawn colour work so any suggestions or techniques would be great (especially for the hair).
Needs a lot of TLC
Not sure what to do in the background yet but hope to include the Satsuki and Mei / Gelfling characters.
