Speed sculpt ahoy!
Bit of practice trying not to smooth anything but use the wax brush all the time... (also chose a soft tip - the one with a spring - for my wacom which proved much better for the longevity of the board )![]()

Yeah it has been a bit of a bother I agree, changing it now
. Thanks for pointing it out, and good to hear you like it!oh btw thanks to sathe/bgen for the matcap... EDIT: Okay I'll just go ahead and edit this one... A bit of skin texture as well as a the head change ![]() I have also been working on this one the past week, which right now is a bit more extensive... I aim at making it a bit more of a "production" model with full clothing and such. And it is actually the FIRST clothed sculpt I have ever done so far ![]() Recently remodeled the shoulder pads and I was actually quite happy with the topology (since modelling has always been my weak side even though I did some small things when I started out)... When I did it I found out that drawing the design (which in this case is very simple at the moment) on the paper and then with colored pencils first drawing in the needed curves and then with another color how the wires should go is extremely helpful! Next up is a retop or actually a modeling of the breastplate. ![]()

Thanks Paulius! Nice to hear that
![]() And yeah I definitely agree that just sculpting different pieces generally isn't as fun, but this time I have a bit larger pieces like the pants, top, breastplate and shoulder pads to work in which makes it a bit more interesting as I have a bit more freedom . Plus I "have" to do it to make sure Mudbox gives me sharper edges and the details and creases I want =).Btw at first I only sculpted from the default body (which still contains detail for all the armor) so it has been a lot of fun that too ![]()

I can see that your sculpting skills are improving!
I like the way you made the basis of the neck on your last head study, nice anatomical reference there, the ears need some more work. Keep it up man! |
