your facial proportionas arent very good, and agreeing with tempest, the eyebrows and eyelashes do lok to fake, the lips look good but are to large for that face.

the eyes disturb me more than the eyebrows and eye lashes,, also the mesh isnt too prety, are those 7 sided polys near the nose

I agree with Jeb mesh definately needs work. Try following the natural lines of a head.

Also It looks like the camera work is contributing to the 'weirdness'

Jeremypr - I'm assuming your last comment was meant to be taken light-heartedly since you put a smiley face at the end...

One thing I found when drawing or painting a face - if you don't get everything positioned or proportioned correctly, it won't look like who you are trying convey. It may look 'kind of' like them, but that's it. Take the eyes for example. Your openings for them should be much smaller. right now they have that 'bulging' out effect.

thx

Thank you for the help....what ive done is took some high rez pics of my references eye and im gonna spend some time honing that area...hopefully that will make it more convincing. It's actually a model of my wife and yes I think what your saying is very true...because from the middle of the face down its pretty believable but the eye area is just off. :\

Wow!! HUGE improvement on the eyes! Just a few more minor tweeks on the eyes and they will be perfect. I attached an image below. The green indicates tweaks on the folds in the skin (do NOT say the word 'wrinkles' to your wife!!) , the red lines indicate tweaks to the shape of the eye itself. You are doing a great job here, I would be happy if my heads look half as good as yours - right now, they are more like 1/10...

Keep it up, this is coming along very nicely! Looking forward to seeing more updates
