so i started with a pose. just a basic pose for now. i'll end posing after the whole sculpt is done cause the pose wont be symetrical .
and changed some proportions. basicly in the back of the monster. |

started a new sketch. the last beast got off the path and had a terrible anatomycal issues i didnt want to bother fixing.
this new one will be a peace for portfolio. i'll try to complete this charcter in 16 hour modeling time limit i set up for this character. this character is a stylised orc version i thought of today. total time from sketching on paper to a zbrush first blocking progres - 45min. C&C are wellcome . |

One of the thing that bothers me is the anatomy on the characters you have sculpted. It doesn't really look functional. The trapezius muscle and the rib cage both look like they kind of merge into the arm... like there is no armpit. It looks like you have a pretty good understanding of Zbrush, I think you just need to work on that anatomy.
![]() Are you using any reference while you are sculpting? |

I like the way the stylized proportions are going on this guy so far. I agree with Bigley, especially if you are going to animate after this is done, the lack of armpits is going to have his torso stretching in all crazy ways.

Bigley - hi. thanks for coment and pointing my mistakes. i'll finish them as soon as i'll jump back to zbrush. well i use zbrush for about 2 years or more.
![]() about references, i rearly use them when sketching. but i think i'll use some this time ![]() Unread Today, 03:11 AM #27 lampshadehead - thanks. yeh, missing armpits would cost some time skining. especialy when this character will have muscle system built in. thanks guys for coments. i'll post more progres with correction mentioned. and i'll check it with references if it has more mistakes. ![]() Last edited by paulius-st; 17-07-2010 at 12:20 AM.. |

gave another 15 minutes to the character. took some reference and fixed that armpit. and gave it a little rigging test on arm movements. it works fine now
. thanks gain. i grew him some legs. but i think i'll ceep them as a subtool. tried to merge and reproject but zbrush ceeps on crashing and it takes too much time as a base mesh sculpt so i'll leve it as it is. |

Looking pretty nice so far, although I think that the area where the triceps go under the deltoid looks a bit off, try smoothing it out a little
