Yay mouse sculpting ftw
! Must say that you are in for a treat with the Intous, I was extremely happy when I suddenly got mine as a grad gift early this summer .Overall I think you should make a save and then go loose on the body. Just get dirty and don't smooth it out until you have the shape and look you want. Plus it also a lot easier to spot mistakes and oddities when you have it that way...

hulahuga - thanks.
yeh mouse sculpting rocks . waiting for my intuos to arrive . then i think i'll go loose and wild well another half an hour spent on it. total time 2 hours 15min. well i am sadisfied with the base sculpt. next - retopology. anyone has any ideas on cool acessories? i think sculls, chainmail armor, some shoulder armor with spikes, some belts would be brutal enough. and for the wepon a mighty axe. |

![]() hulahuga - a hammer? hmmm... soundns myghty, but isnt it a little too banal? i saw that allmost everyone give hammers to everything. its hammer time . a gigant fish i think would look awsome and funny. and scary too![]() a hat? naaa, a helmet better, or a black gang member hair doo , or maybe a bunny hat or some other dumb childish hat . you gave me some food for thoughts. ![]() i'll tak ein consideration your ideas .thanks thanks guys for replies ![]() |

Okay not hammer I actually thought mroe of a maul or a giant club or something. Something makeshift and heavy... (made by stuff found in woods/mountains)
Perhaps a pointy hat with something hanging on it . Think santa-claus He probably doesn't mind, he thinks it is "Pe-rtiee" ![]()

hulahuga - thanks for thought. i like the club and something heavy ideas. i'm currently thinking of some heavy and funny at the same time. about a santa claus hat - sounds promissing, but i would want something more orcish. soemthing clasic orc but stylised.
updates soon to come. looking for an hour of free time to retopologyse it. i'll ceep it something close to low poly charcter to save my pc from exploding when animating ![]() finaly got the tablet. hulahuga as you said - it is a treet. tried to get use to it and drew a fast sketch based by a guy's from this forums aka ninthjake idea. it sounded cool so i tried to draw something quick. ![]() |

A guy I know on a LARP had some kind of pointy hat with chainmail straps hanging over the cheeks and with a little wisp of chainmail at the pointy end as well, might be something...
The creature you drawed has some potential btw... ![]()

The funny thing was that it wasn't a helmet but a skin pointy hat that had the chainmail straps But yeah I understand what you say about the origin, quite true. If you, or anyone else, want to check out cool helmet, armor and sword designs you could always check out www.spqr.se. You can buy the stuff there as well a friend of mine and I have some stuff from there; he has one of the helmets with the chainmail neck cover as well as a chain hauberk and I have a gambeson .Sketches look pretty clean. Some cool designs there as well . You really do have a knack for that!

hulahuga - thanks for the link.
cool things they have there. i know for sure what to request from firends for my birthday ![]() and thanks for kind words. finaly had some time to retopologyse this sculpt. i opened his mouth so i could rig it better and place other elements. now to sculpt it for reel ![]() gave one of earlyer sketches some time and practiced some painting with colours. painting with paint has allways been my weakness. Painting with paint really is a hard thing isn't it
. No but I get what you mean, I find coloring quite hard as well...You've done the hard rim lights pretty good, the volumes are there. Now you might want to play a bit with shadows and then go on to smoothing it out a bit where needed ![]()
