a quick morph target test i did to test the material, lighting, and the render time . its a 100 frame quick switching betvien a few targets . it took about 30 seconds to render a frame.

Looking good! Planning on doing a longer animation with him (sorry if I've asked before but I don't remember asking
)?

thanks. well it was supposed to be a part of a demoreel for the companie but directors changed and the new director dumpted it due to lack of details.
. ofcourse the old director didnt say to a new one that this had to be a cartoon type character . so this sculpt i posted yesterday will be a fully animated character . waiting for the script to arrive i'll post some tests of this new one when i'll go to morphs ![]() |

Btw, how do you add material to a sculpt with zpheres (say a new set of arms or something...)

well , i apend it as subtool and if needed i alter topology to fit the main mesh. and ofcourse i split every part to polygroops. and when i need everything to be one single mesh i use subtool master to merge subtools.
but ofcourse there is another way. when you make your mesh with zspheres just dont convert it to polymesh. leev it as adaptive skin. then if you want more geometry you just jump back in to zsphere mode and draw update . but there is a flaww sculpting this way - when you add new subdivision or new zsphere you have to do lots more cleaning than the usual way. hope i answered you question ![]() |
