[WiP] M16 A4

Hey folks,

I was bored these days, so I started looking around for inspiration!
I have played CS:S for a while in the last weeks and found that game pretty ugly...
So i thought i might try my hands at something related (i wont probably port it into css, because the workflow is really bad -.-)

So the style of this m16 was along the following lines:
-for special unit
-not too fancy (e.g. grenade launcher or anything)
-lowpoly

Its got different customized parts on it, so it doesnt look like your average M16

I think the lowpoly is done already, i settled at 3600 polies!
Next is the unwrapping, though i made a little list with possible color schemes i would like crits on...
I cant really settle on one specific!

Also any other tips or comments would be appreciated!

Okay, in my brwoser its just loading one of the two pics at a time, so here come the urls:

#2 looks pretty good to me but it's really hard to decide without the textures.

Do you have the high-poly finished?

No I mean the high-poly with subdivision modeling applied.

And yes, many colors are not good for a weapon if the purpose is to keep yourself hidden (unless you are in the jungle or something)

I'm out of the game modding scene, thats why i never really worked with subdiv modeling...
i thought i might just let it be this way?

though if u tell me some nice technique i'm willing to learn!
