what school are you from? I've been noticing a lot of first time posters with school assignments on the boards. Are you all classmates? Anyway, the model is looking good, all I would say is even out the geo so it's less boxy and more organic.

hey there!
nice starting model u have there for a first timer! The mesh is clean and tidy, so there isnt much for me to talk on it. I also think you have achieved the desired shape of the kangaroo, more or less. Just for you to take note, your kangaroo knees are a little too boxy. It looks robotic there, but other than that, its nevertheless a great first attempt. Kudos to u! Keep up the good work! ![]() |

looks like a wooden replica of a roo. as mckronic said add more geometery , iam sure you can see your self that it doesnt appear alive.
try one thing, google kangaroo pics and then try to draw wireframe mesh flow on a layer above it in a painting application like photoshop. theres a mesh topology thread by fellow member kirgan stickied here, go through and you will be aware of what is needed. |

Yes, like the others have mentioned less boxy. Reference is the key. Find as many kangaroo pics as you can, it may seem like overkill but having a lot of reference really can take you 3D work to the next level. Also, I would probably separate the leg from the body more. Where the leg connects with the body shouldn't be so low down.

This is really good for first time modeling! The lines are clean but some of the edges dosen't look very smooth. Are you aiming to make a kangaroo toy figure? If you have the intention of modeling a real kangaroo, the arms looked skinny to me, I don't see much muscle in there.
