Hi everyone!
i'm new on this forum and i would to well out of this post to introduce myself. I'm 21 years old, a student of Digital & virtual design in Rome therefore a very lover of 3Ds world! I wish to ask you something about the making of a 3D DNA that i need for a personal project. I've tried something building its structure but at the end i'm not so satisfied of the result. ![]() Do you have some advice or some tutorial for me? Waiting for a reply.. Thank you! |

Welcome to this forum, you should always state what program you use, otherwise people can only give vague help...
i's say put down two plines going parallel to eahother and put a twist modifier on it... then add horizontal splines... also it depends on what u will use it for, will it be seen really up close?

then i'd still stick with splines and put a displacement map on it.
something like a fractal noise or anything... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULMqyAV1r54 this might be a starter if u dont know what i'm talking about, just modify it a little for your needs!
