Bomb never goes off - Mastering directing
I've seen a part from the Hitchcock interview, and were inspired to make a thread:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPFsuc_M_3E Let's talk a little bit about directing: We are all creating 3D graphics and animation, but how much we think about importance on directing the shots in a way that will affect and drive the audience to the feeling we want to produce? Did you ever catch yourself (while watching movie, or cinematic) in thinking about what trick director did so he created the feeling in you? Knowing how to edit the movie (with cuts) is just a first (technical) step, but I don't see that many "directors" goes further from that technical knowledge. I think that's what separates great directors from the others. Would like to hear your opinion about directing. Tips. Tricks. Maybe some site that you can recommend. Or anything you wanna said. ![]()
