Cant believe no one has commented on this yet.
Really nice piece.
I particularly like the assymetrical shoulder design, and the axe of course.
He sort of looks like a Highlander warrior what with the kilt and all.

I really enjoy this kind of portraits... Like to do works like this but Im not good in mixed textures yet. That's really great , very nice...thanx

love the idea of the scars on the face but the neck protection seems a little big compared to shoulder armor for example

Really awesome work, but I have to agree with Silok that it could have been a lot stronger a piece if the background wasn't so grey. If you could add some cobblestones or rock paving under his feet and maybe some environment skybox it would really improve the composition.

It seems like he should be holding the axe in his other hand, since it would be the arm with the greatest range of motion, and his right arm would work best for holding a shield, since it's better armored.
